I dont think I would press us at all. I'd let the defenders have the ball and play a high line. Force us to play behind them. We dont like doing it and we are **** at it.

Liverpool worked out exactly where our trigger point is for the press and played that entire second half 5 yards ahead of it. We were sat back in formation because that is what we are told to do. Players didn't know what to do and we couldn't change it.

We are coached very precisely and it can be stifling. And for such a good side our reliance on own goals and set pieces is embarrassing.

I think the precision and caution is what is telling the players they aren't quite good enough.

We've won the league 5 times in my lifetime. Each time I knew I was watching a side that was capable of winning the league. And a side that believed that it could.

This season, I'm not convinced. Haven't been since day one. We are not dominant in games, we play with fear and we dont score enough goals.

I think that City's collapse triggered the players and forced them to confront the fact that it was their title to win. And it has scared them.

Maybe they can get their heads around it now. Maybe they'll settle and we'll be ok.

But I remain unconvinced.
