Yes. Thing is, the way we play, that sort of thing is always going to be a potential opportunity. Asking for it, you might say. At least, that would be my thinking as an opposing coach; harry them amidships, encourage errors and be on hand to punish them swiftly before Gabriel arrives to deal with it.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

They weren't even pressing much. We created the entire problem ourselves. Had we survived that chance, we would have presented them with another one.

I dont think I would press us at all. I'd let the defenders have the ball and play a high line. Force us to play behind them. We dont like doing it and we are **** at it.

Liverpool worked out exactly where our trigger point is for the press and played that entire second half 5 yards ahead of it. We were sat back in formation because that is what we are told to do. Players didn't know what to do and we couldn't change it.

We are coached very precisely and it can be stifling. And for such a good side our reliance on own goals and set pieces is embarrassing.

I think the precision and caution is what is telling the players they aren't quite good enough.

They say league titles are won and lost on one square foot of real estate- between the ears.

They dont actually say that, but it is true.
If it isn't true, it ought to be

I disagree in that Jesus is more predictable; you know what he wants to do. NOBODY knows what Vik wants to do (not yet anyway), probably not even Vik. So he necessarily attracts more heat, freeing up others and so on.

One wonderful early pass out to the left from the captain gave us hope for some chaos, something different. But alas.

There was one part where Jesus was free on the left and turned back. I'm so used to it that it barely registered.

Why on earth was Martinelli left on the bench the whole game? Madueke was a crazy decision.

Sure, if you don't want to actually score against us. And yes, being so good at corners certainly suggests an awful lot of repetition on the training ground.

Still, we remain top and it's been awhile since we conceded three or lost at the Emirates so there's plenty of hope. And even Bayern Munich lost at home yesterday, to the mighty Augsburg, so it CAN happen.

Perhaps Mikel was confused by having so many players available

As you know, I've questioned us all season, to the irritation of some on here.

We've won the league 5 times in my lifetime. Each time I knew I was watching a side that was capable of winning the league. And a side that believed that it could.

This season, I'm not convinced. Haven't been since day one. We are not dominant in games, we play with fear and we dont score enough goals.

I think that City's collapse triggered the players and forced them to confront the fact that it was their title to win. And it has scared them.

Maybe they can get their heads around it now. Maybe they'll settle and we'll be ok.

    But I remain unconvinced.

    I want Havertz back......

I wouldn't even say we went into game management mode today, because we absolutely **** ourselves when we went in front.

Today was a team, bizarrely given they are top of the league, devoid of confidence. The crowd sensed it and so did Man Utd.. why the **** do we always **** ourselves v them? They're a poor team that were way better than us today. Predictable.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

Don Henley said that sometimes success can be every bit as terrifying as failure.

But then The Eagles never won the league, so what the **** does he know...

He did also write the line " .. saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac". Which is more or less the same as winning the league.
