    And to think we almost paid nearly four times as much for that Ukrainian pillock instead....

    He had a bit of a falling out with Arteta too. He?s come back from that. Not sure he?s the most well liked man in the squad but the business is winning football matches. That pay rise seems to have him full of vim & vigour,

    If he was fast then he?d be one of the best in the world.

    He is kind of a bit faster than he looks, if that makes sense. Over shorter distances.

    Very good player, very clever and very difficult to play against. And cost pretty much **** all.

    Dunno if it was a falling out per se. He just thought he was playing well enough to start. At the start of the season, he saw we'd bought a big squad and everyone would be fighting for their place. The highly talented and young Noni has signed to be B's understudy.

    So he said give him a pay rise and he'd be happy with a role that didn't guarantee him a start. We agreed, he started playing the best football of his life and now he's saying that he'd take a contract extension if we want to keep him in that role. I'd be happy with that.
