    What was also very amusing

was they scored a worldie but as with the Rabona (can't remember the name of the horrible, inconsequential, prick that scored it), they can't bang on about it as we'll just remind them that they still lost.

I?d still wonder why keepers feel the need to go so far up the pitch just because we?re in possession. Seaman from the halfway line and another in the Scottish game midweek.
You?re just so open if you unexpectedly lose the ball.

Well, for one thing it provides yet another option of a pass for Zubimendi......

Good time for him to learn that lesson- Premier League teams keep going even when they are beaten.

It's part of our pattern, operates as an auxiliary CB as another passing option. Zubi should not have been messing about there, also 9/10 the striker would miss that.

I tink they get bored in such one sided affairs and go for a bit of a wonder, just to regain the feeling that they?re actually involved.

Because the odds work in our favour. Everyone remembers when Seaman was beaten by Gazza, Nayim and the Brazilian FK. But more times than not, being further forward saves a goal as opposed to conceived one.

Yes, I did mention it before. Surprised that doesn't happen every week.

Midget central midfielders who think they can play a bit are always simply asking for it in English football. That's why we rarely produce any, and any we do allow through the net all possess the calm, composed, peaceful temperament of Francis Begbie. You know, people like Billy Bremner, Alan Ball and Dennis Wise. David Batty.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

The reason it doesn't happen every week is that a player like Zubimendi exists mainly to prevent it. He'll be furious with himself. A rare lapse of judgement.

And you are correct, we never produce players like him. And we never win international tournaments. And we won't until we do.
