Thread: Do you ever wonder why you watch football?

Do you ever wonder why you watch football?

every season seems to be a mix of 'we can win it this year' 'we might actually win it' 'ah we've mssed it up' 'bottled it' etc

I know what it's all about, but mostly seems a relief when the games are over with and you can carry on with your life.

And when draw that feels like a loss feels like the invincibles days.

What else are you going to do? Ice skating? Collecting stamps? Civil war reenactment?

Have to find something to waste your life on. Football seems as good a thing as any other.

What must it be like to support a team less successful than us or perennial under-achievers? Maybe it's less stressful!!

I think being just below the top is frustrating in recent years. Especially when you know a few additions would make the difference (hopefully we have those this year.

when you are crap you know you are crap.

Cavaliers had the better uniforms from an aesthetic point but Roundheads were more 'fit for purpose'

Oh, I'm deffo a mod vs rockers. Love the Who and can ride a scooter but not a motorbike. Easy choice, before we even mention the clobber.

Thing about the civil war is I despise Divine Right and the Glorious Rev proved that we need permanent parliaments. But I can't stand the Puritan belief that God doesn't want us to have fun. In some ways, that's even worse.

Hindus smoke charras and have temples with carvings glorifying the karma sutra and {far, far} more. I reckon had I'd been alive in the 1640s, I'd have joined the EIC, b?ggered off to Bengal and got w?nkered on opium while reading the Vedas until the Restoration.
