    Archaic crap. But that is federalism for you. 300 million people who are only held together by a 250 year old document and a flag.
    Yes, I do. They think they all need guns to protect them from King George's Redcoats, blissfully unaware that their AR15 isn't gonna do much against an Apache Gunship, an F-35 and their accompanying drone swarm.

    But because they can't get their heads round this, they still shoot each other in school. The day that Maga kiddie was shot, 2 more died when a 16 year old shot up his school and then topped himself.

    Nation of gun-nut peasants. JFK was in power for 2-3 years and if he'd tried to stop their gun obsession, I'd have sympathy. He didn't. He believed in their constitutional right to arm bears so any Grizzly can walk in off the street and come out of Brad's Guns'n'Bibles Store with an AK and what happens? He got shot. And the guy who shot him got shot.

    That's what happens if you think a fear of King George sending some redcoats to oppress you justifies your kids getting shot in their classrooms.

    That's exactly what this silly Maga kiddie said. And he got shot. Maybe he should have put the bible down and found out what karma is. Or actually, looked up the bit about Do Unto Others in his bible. He thought it fine for other innocents to get shot to keep their constitutional right to arm bears. Seems like the Little Baby Jesus decided to impose the do unto others on him, so he can't complain.

    Backward species, they really are. What's wrong with a couple of snooker balls in a sock?

    It's almost as if our Arsenal mate Ganpati believes that there cannot possibly be a "Septic" around here in this very closed part of the World Wide Web.

    As the Maga kiddie said, if you give everyone guns, innocent people will die.

    He, and his fellow Americans, think that's fine.

    Personally, I'm glad I'm sitting here in my safe European home.

    If you think grizzlies with AKs is worth a school full of kids being shot up every couple of months then fine. Your country, your democratic right.

    In Aus, they had a mass shooting around the same time as Dunblane. Like us, they basically banned guns. That was the '90s. How many mass shootings since in either UK or Aus? And how many in the US?

    You lot want guns. You openly admit gun deaths is a price you're willing to pay. So don't come crying to me when one of you gets shot by another one of you.

    And btw, despite neither of us having loads of guns any more, King George's redcoats haven't come and oppressed us in either GB or Aus. Strange that. Or maybe we just missed it happening cos we were watching the cricket.

    I like The Clash reference, but your safe European home isn't really that safe. Safer than it would be if we shoved 100,000 guns on the streets, admittedly.

    I think the broader point is the the right to own a gun doesn't give you the right to shoot people. And as much as you might present these episodes as a result of the law, drawing pleasure, or bragging rights, from it is rather distasteful. And, if I might venture, rather unbritish.....

    That is aside from any discussion about the Kennedy assassination being anything to do with gun controls......

    Maybe my exaggeration clouded the point but "Safer than it would be if we shoved 100,000 guns on the streets, admittedly." was the only real point I'd intended to make.

    {As an aside, all those Reform types who think London is full of no-go zones - while ignoring the fact that knife crime's hugely down - all support US gun laws. But maybe they think only gore {whites} should have guns?}

    Para 2: I don't really want to spend all day discussing this point but if owning a gun doesn't give you the right to shoot someone, then why own it? Why should society take that risk - the risk the Maga kiddie openly supported - just cos some middle aged racist wants to forget how small his willy is?

    Para 3: Again, that was meant as an aside. That point was simply to shut C etc up. I'm not some tribal lefty. {Though I am prob. a tribal, anti-gun Brit.} So I will treat them all the same whether they are Magas, wokes, or centrist heroes. Those who insist on their constitutional right to give AKs to grizzlies can't moan if they get shot.

    {And again, I haven't seen any redcoats oppressing us or the Convicts since we both banned guns.}

    I'm not disagreeing with you but I do think the idea of creating strict gun laws is a bit difficult. These people really believe in this ****. They're not going to drop their guns off at the tip.

    And as for the amendment itself, I think we can all agree the US possesses a pretty well regulated militia.

    I didn't like this Charlie character at all, I thought he was a ****. But I'm horrified he got killed.

    In reverse order:

    Para 3: Yes, we shouldn't have to say this but the gun has no place in democratic politics no matter how vile I find my opponent. But a: he came over and lectured us in Blighty about how we don't have free speech here. We responded by tutting cos that's what we do. He went back to the land of free speech and got shot dead while speaking. Again, no-one deserves to be shot but don't come over 'ere and lecture me, bruv.

    Also, I find it funny that he literally said a few dead innocents was a fair price to pay. Or did he mean other innocents, just not him or his loved ones? In which case his hypocrisy reeks even more. Look, if in 7 years time we do a massive free rave for the 40th anniversary of Castlemorton and I get up on to the roof of the warehouse like in the old days, but I do so much K and Spesh I end up dancing over the edge and falling to my death, you lot would be perfectly entitled to laugh at me. Unlike him, I don't think dead ravers is a price worth paying. But I do know the risks I take getting off my head on the roof.

    I think the reaction of the left is despicable. But he did say that innocent deaths are a price worth paying.

    Para 2: Exactly. In 1776, a musket and some non-uniformed camo normal clothing helped beat our redcoats. An AR15 is no use against an Apache gunship, an F-35B, a swarm of drones and an ICBM. Pretending otherwise is pathetic. So this save us from the redcoats stuff is just nonsense. They just have a gun fetish and in all probability, what they really worry about is black people being armed while they're not.

    Para 1: I fully agree. I don't wanna come over all Irish but it terms of outlawing guns, I wouldn't start from here if I were them. I don't claim to have a solution. All I claim is that if you fetishise your guns laws to such an extent that you think dead innocents is an acceptable price to pay, don't ask me not to laugh when you get shot. Especially when you've just come back from telling us we don't have free speech while you do.

    I know Yanks don't get irony, and I accept that I'm going beyond irony into sarcasm and it's not very pleasant to use irony to hurt a family who are grieving a murdered love one, but I doubt they read Awimb and I never claimed to be pleasant.

    Guns and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

    Too right, mate. Bloody Septics are too thick to find their way here, unless their thick, gunpowder stained fingers happened to get them here by mistake. They should stick to rounders.

    If a Septic would happen to stumble in here, he would quickly realise he is no intellectual match for a seasoned geezer like yourself who has had decades of brain altering substances that has honed his mind to peak reason and logic, the kind you can only get from an elephant with a turban.

    Just a polite and innocent question, Chief. But you do you currently own a firearm?

    Come on Chief, it was won Septic wot was shot. Not all of you. I didn't tweet it or post it on the Fox News Facebook page. I posted it here. Where's there's only about half a dozen of us and we're probably all just Tony C's different log ins.
