I would point out that both you and C erroneously saw my comment through your own culture war prism. You immediately assumed that because I laughed at the right-winger assassinated by the left winger, I must be a lefty.

When any {even vaguely} neutral reading of my words would have made clear that I was just laughing at Yank gun laws.

Do I find it hilarious that JFK did nothing about gun laws and then got shot? Hell yeah.

Would I find it hilarious if the head of the Alabama chapter of JKRowlingMustDie got shot dead by a fellow Septic gun nut? Hell yeah.

Well, I would say all that but I'm afraid that as with most culture warriors of both left and right, you lack the critical self-analysis to objectively question your position. My tribe, good. Everyone else, bad.

But ignore yourself and get back to me. Do you really think I'd have spent my entire adult life getting away from the rest of the normal humans if I was a lefty? I would care about the normal world and would be doing my bit to make it better by fighting the right.

Instead, I just travelled around with our posse, getting off our tits, and blagging the state that the left love so much.

So while we may have had dreadlocks and not washed, our own politics was far closer to libertarianism than to socialism.

But why let facts and analysis get in the way.

We're not lefties, mate. We treated our immediate environment in a similar way to how big oil or extractive capitalism treated the planet as a whole. So who am I to slag them off from the left? Let he without sin etc.
