Is it really just me who thought that their right back

Was lucky to escape a second yellow for tripping Martinelli? He was running into the box, towards goal, and it was an entirely deliberate foul.

I thought the ref was clearly looking forward to picking up his evelope full of dirhams. Dinar. Shekels. Whatever.

Hard to believe that ref officiated last year's CL final and last night was his tenth game in this season's competition, a record no of appointments for an official. He was the worst performer on the pitch yesterday, even Odegaard put in a better performance than him.

I thought they got away with a lot of tactical fouling, especially in the first half as we tried to get back into the game. There was a period in the middle of the first half where every time we strung 3 passes together it ended with a foul.

Their right back and that midget Portuguese midfielder of theirs being the worst offenders.

God I hate Portuguese footballers, cheating filth to the man - except Eusebio, of course

He was that type of ref. Ludicrously fussy for the most part but also inconsistent. Trossard's booking was ridiculous. He then proceeded to let plenty of worse challenges go.

All over the trivial, reluctant to get involved for the important stuff. Exactly the opposite of what you want in a ref.

Eusebio was only Portuguese by colonisation (he was from Mozambique) so I guess the cheating wasn't in his blood
