Paddy V did P. Not really his fault though. He had one leg shorter that the other

add in the space of half a season his longer leg grew a little AND his shorter leg shrunk a little. The increased differential meant that when he tried to run he would simply pirouette like some demented ballerina .. poor chap

I think we are just seeing why Odegaard didn't make it at Madrid. He doesn't have the mental strength for the world's biggest stages. He'll always go missing in the big games. Just like Henry and others before him

I know you're Marv but the big name players often go missing in the big games because really good teams are rather good at designing strategies to deal with really good players. Also, really good teams are often very athletic and skilful, less athletic players can struggle against them.

    Dennis Bergkamp, as an example

Also, Odegaard is not going missing in the big games. He is going missing in every game.

100% right. I had to supress the part of my brain that was telling me Madrid and PSG had both done a good job of squeezing the space for Odegaard and not letting him play his natural game, in order to write that post. I do also think there is an element of him having come back from injury and being rushed a little bit on that which means he is not 100%.

You?re back tracking here, MM. I preferred it when you went all out, shaming him for being a flakey, fancy dan pouvre, lacking ze mental strength.
