I know you'reMarv but the big name players often go missing in the big games because really good teams are rather good at designing strategies to deal with really good players. Also, really good teams are often very athletic and skilful, less athletic players can struggle against them.

100% right. I had to supress the part of my brain that was telling me Madrid and PSG had both done a good job of squeezing the space for Odegaard and not letting him play his natural game, in order to write that post. I do also think there is an element of him having come back from injury and being rushed a little bit on that which means he is not 100%.
