What a player he is. And he's got some minerals too.

MLS is great. Learning to defend to go with his ability as a MF to invert while also playing some gorgeous, line-breaking passes. If he was called Skellinho, and we'd paid ?50m for him as an 18 year old, we'd be over the moon.
But Ethan is also the hound's gonads. The ?din injury came too early in the season for him to be trusted as starting every game as inside right, MA wanted to bring him through gradually. Now, after that half a season, we can play him. But when Saka got injured and we played EN at RW, he looked great but then got injured.
He's shown he's the best cover for ?din and B and cos he's only 18, he's happy to come through slowly when a 28 year old with his talent and an extra decade of experience would want to be starting every week.
Our RHS three have been the heart-beat of our attacking creativity for the last 2 years, but BW, ?din and B have all had long term injuries at various points. JT is great cover for BW, and a fully fit Ethan could cover for either ?din or B, but we're still in the position of having to start Sterling last night.
Also, the LHS hasn't had the chance to bed in and play together. Martinelli's best season so far was when he was playing with Zinny and GX every week. I think the idea was to have MM in the GX role {with Dec at DM} and Cala {or perhaps Timber} at LB.
MLS can play there now {and don't write off Cala} but as with BW-?din-B, we need a LHS who all play together and get to know each other's games. Injuries have b?ggered our season so far.
