I still have a nag we maybe a bit light upfront

Injuries, plus the inconsistency of Jesus & Martinelli may cause issues as the season wears on.
The club may regret not flogging Eddie to Marseilles, although hopefully, they may tweak their offer. His value will likely drop further without regular starts. Nelson could also be on his way.
We need a bit more quality off the bench.

Feel the same about some of that.

    ESR was the Hale Ender to not sell this summer. MotM in last Prem start. We need to get this Merino. But would still like another RW/no.9 {or hybrid of.}

Pretty much how I feel. One more midfielder and one forward would do it. I fear we won't be able to bring anyone in unless we can sell.

Smith Rowe going wasn't really the plan but I suspect we had to sell the player we could get money for. I can't see us getting anything for Tierney, Ramsdale, Nelson, Eddie.... the money just isn't in the market at the moment.

Meanwhile, Boehly signs another player for £60m.

Hard to believe that the other clubs have not demanded an explanation as to how Chelsea can spend 1.5 billion without a loss. They are making a mockery of the rules.

Maybe they see the future; what if there's tacit acceptance that it's none of the Premier League's business and clubs/their owners ought to be allowed to spend whatever they want and to Pluto with FFP
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

If they felt that way, would they be over valuing the sale of their women’s outfit and shifting hotels between sister companies ? All seems a bit clandestine.
Perhaps it’s a complex tax dodge that Clearwater can play out amongst their network of companies? There’s no way this is about squad building, no one’s buying that. The concept that a bunch of investors are revolutionising player transfers, in order to produce success on the pitch, by rotating a squad of 50 players via a revolving door is laughable.
    No, there’s something amiss here.

If teams figure out our set pieces, we are ****ed.

Calafiore's big and good in the air. Ditto Merino if, Ganpati willing, we get him. We already know what Willy and Big Gabby can do. {Like when we had Paddy and Gilby as well as two CHs.} And Kai.

And B* and Dec can hit a corner as well as anyone I've seen over the years. We have so many routines that they can't plan - it's either zonal or man-to-man marking against us. And we've got some good short corner moves.

I like the idea of our set piece coach getting us an extra 5-10 goals a year without actually being in the starting XI. That's a top, top signing. Give him a new contract.

    Keep the faith.

*Anyone wish we signed a MF with a first name of Antony, so we had an Ant and Dec double pivot? Like Wright and Bright but funnier and chavvier.

Yep, don't think there is much to work out. Physical presence in the box with loads of options, different routines, and brilliant delivery. There's no special trick to defending that.
