I completely bottled that shootout and went out for a walk. I found out we'd won when my phone went mental.

I remember being at Hillsborough and Dennis hit a pass along the ground that curled around Des Walker straight into the path of a sprinting Ian Wright who went around Pressman (?). And missed.

You could see the line in the grass the ball had made. Simply perfect

    Finished 0-0
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

You yourself have said that for a man of his incredible talents, he had a tendency to go missing.

Of that side, the players I can't find anything negative to say about are Pires, Gilberto and - much as I hate to admit it - Cole.

Whatever else he was or wasn't, he was a superb left back.

Oh I think Pires had quite the capacity for 'having a quiet game', especially if he was taking a good kicking.

Indeed, one Jose Antonio Reyes kept him out of the side for a while...

It seems weird looking back that Sheffield Wednesday were once a serious team.

Usually a stretcher was called for (in the early days, anyway)

Fair point. I suppose I'm just overlooking it because of my affection for him as a player.
