Awards, money, or is merely living the lifestyle enough?
having a good time, making some music to be proud of, getting some critical acclaim, getting knob-gobbled by groupies, watching anything from a couple of hundred people having a brilliant time watching you play, or putting up with some right divas in the cause of making a half-decent record.
Requiring mass adoration and financial lucre on a vast scale is probably an unwise bar to set.

Albeit without the thrill of standing onstage at Glastonbury with 300 people singing along to a song you wrote in your bedroom.
Just don't do it for too long that there isn't time to sort out some kind of regular income from a proper job, that's all.
