If the Oscars were actually about good films, Grand Budapest Hotel would walk Best Picture. Genuinely funny, moving, visually arresting and - best of all - IT ACTUALLY HAD A PLOT.

Not that I disagree with the rest of your thoughts on it, Anderson's best for a while and probably my favourite film of the last few years.
He's rather splendid in that. As, though it pains me to say it, was ****ing Phoenix.
