Thread: Kai's back.

  1. #1

    Kai's back.

I was hoping he'd be back in Jan and be like a new signing, but he got injured and Man City bought players with their ill-gotten wealth.

But now we have Kai back and they drop points. Cos they know he is better than any of them. If he can stay fit now, and we have him for all the run in then we're sorted.

Start with him. If we're winning comfortably, we can take him off for Vik or Jeez.

If we need a goal, we take off Zubi and play Kai as one of two tens.

    He makes such a difference.

Imagine we could also get Odin back and playing as he was earlier in the season when between injuries we saw flashes of the real Odin who dominates games.

When we sold GX, MA tried a completely new MF with Dec at DM and Kai at inside right. It didn't work cos Kai was fitting in and low on confidence. Then Jeez was injured, Kai moved up top, Partey came back as DM and Dec went to box-to-box.

It would be ironic if we finally do it by, at times, using a Dec-Odin-Kai MF as the plan was all those years ago. And Vik might be even better with two tens looking for him.

I love Kai - he can score and create like Bergy, but he's got that sad, German outsider face of Ozil. {Just like I love Odin cos he's a ten who can play box to box with a smile on his face like Santi.} So it would be like Ozil and Santi but with Dec behind them. Vik played better when he had Easy close to him - if we had two tens so we had Kai and Odin {or Easy if he was injured} then God alone knows.

Ganpati bless, gentlemen, and enjoy your nights.

We definitely should have had a penalty when their bloke, who'd just been booked kicked Kai rather than the ball.

Yes. Thought that was fairly clear.

I'd have liked to have seen a bigger reaction when that ****er tried to drag Saka to his feet.

This is where you need Ben White

They had a South American looking chap, Gomez?

Every time I looked he seemed to be kicking someone and then denying it. Not that that's negative football; of course

Why doesn't MA play Kai in no 10 role behind Gyok instead of Eze? Eze has been anonymous the past two games yet stayed on the pitch to the end. We've won both those matches playing with ten men.

He also tends to drift to the right, like Odin does to play triangles with B and the RB. Would allow Dec to play the GX role on the left in a more advanced position. I was hoping that Easy drifting left would give our LWs more help.

Zubi's playing so well, and MA's certainly not going to take any unnecessary risks at this point in the season, but it would have been nice to see if the 4-1-4-1 worked with twin 10s, Odin on the left and Easy on the right {Kai up top.} He did try that in one game this season when everyone was moaning we were being too defensive. But Odin got injured after 30-odd mins and Zubi came on and made both goals somehow.

He was trying something like that when Kai first signed to replace GX, with Dec at DM. But Kai wasn't scoring or making any goals so people moaned and he was unhappy with his sad eyes, even though he was winning duels like GX did.

And then Jeez got injured, Kai moved up top, Dec to inside left with Wigwam back and that was that.

But I would like to see a 4-1-4-1 tried at some point with Odin and Easy as inside forwards and Kai up top as a false 9.

    3 no.10s and 2 goal-scoring and creating wingers.
