Gyokeres is too bloody slow. It's a marginal thing but,

    - he is slow to turn, slow to get a shot away, slow to get running, slow to get up to full pelt and then when he's at full pelt .. he's too fakkin slow!! There ain't a full back in the Prem worthy of the job description who couldn't murder him in a 100m sprint.

I thought that but I remember on his debut in presason, he absolutely roasted one of the full backs for pace. Very odd.

he doesn't seem quite fully fit yet.
However I am not worried. with every team deciding to use the 'low block' * Current buzzword. he's always going to be limited.

if anyone decides to open up against hopefully they will be met with a resposne like we had against Atleti.

we also have a back 4 of centre backs which is working perfectly. they all love it.

Is he carrying a bit of excess timber?

I did think that, bulked up too much.

Speaking of Timber, he was outstanding again. Best player on the pitch.

We will face low blocks in at least 30 of our 38 PL games this season. Just like we have done in each of the last few seasons.

Fortuantely Havertz is back soon and so young Victor (well he's not young - in footballing terms) will be sitting on the bench.

I am very positive. I think it's our season. just carry on doing what we are doing and it should pay off.

Yes I think so too. And I also think Gyokeres probably does occupy defenders a bit. Not exactly what you want from your striker but it's something I guess.

I think he's occupying space that might be more profitably occupied by a decent striker

we are not giving him much service to be fair. Saka needs to work on that. he's a little selfish.
