I think last summer, MA wanted a left side that could play together and get to know each other like the Benny, Odin, B axis on the right.
Gabby M was at his best when playing with Zinny and GX every week.
I think the idea was Cala at inverted LB, and MnM in the GX role with added height to win aerial duels, score headers and be an outlet for upfield hoofs.
But we haven't been able to try those two week in, week out, with Gabby or Leo.
Just like I can't remember the last time we had BW, Odin and B all starting.
