    What are odds of Sterling getting a start tonight ?

    Mikel must feel like hiding under a rock, having persuaded the septics to unload ?100k a week on him.
    Even Willian had a couple of high points during his short stint.
    Has there been a worse signing ? Sonogo Jeffers Kallstrom, Inamoto. Pepe ?

    He did assist Ethan for his first league goal {and played well with him in the Milk Cup game when he first really announced himself.}

    I really hope Sterling starts. It is an obvious move and if he has a half decent game, it could lead to some contributions over the last few months of the season. If he plays ****, what have we lost?

    Hope Martinelli doesn't start, but gets another 20-30 minutes or so.

    He surely has at least one performance in his locker. He owes Mikel if nothing else..

    Dunno. But anyway, we cannot take the piss; it's the Champions League and every player will be desperate to play.
    "Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

    "But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

    Even the signing of Amaury Bischoff wasn't as bad as Raheem.

    The mere thought of Raheem in an Arsenal shirt makes me irrationally iritable. Just like Vermaelen did, for some reason.

    Who was the guy with a broken back? He wasn't a great signing.

    And that French postman, the big lad.

    No, from his point of view it's exactly the sort of night he signed up for. A team challenging for trophies, 3-nil up after an hour every week; joining in the fun for ten minutes at the end for sparkling cameos. Or like this tie; progress secured, a rare start and a nice relaxed kickabout with the boys.

    Looked at properly, we have let Raheem down

    Kallstrom - he was a great signing. Scored in the penalty shootout v Wigan. Only league start was a 3-1 home win over West Ham but even that is impressive when you consider how hard we find it to beat those ****ers at home.

    Similarity to the Sterling signing - that late in the day it was either him or nobody, and nobody rarely contributes much

    Sterling will have his moment - mark my words.
