10 *******s.
Off to India tomorrow {well, today when you read this, Thursday} lunchtime, Ganpati willing. But when, dv I'm back safe and sound in early March, I shall look into these Firestick things.
But now having seen young Ethan's goal - where he's basically thought "What would B do?" - I would have liked to watch it.
We never thought we'd be able to buy world class cover for B because who would come to be his understudy? Knowing that no matter how well you play, you'll not take his place. {A bit like being signed as cover for Messi or Fake Ronny at their peaks.}
Well we now have a 17 year old who does that. And cover for the skipper.
I like the suggestion of him being tried at CF, as a fake 9. He's got it all and it would mean:
a. You avoid risking ?100m+ on a striker who doesn't make the grade, and there are so few genuine world-class strikers out there anyway.
b. It would mean that we could play B, Odin and Ethan in the same starting XI.
{When needing a goal, we could move Kai to inside left - cos he knits the team together, he wins loads of duels and his height gives us the hoof it up to the big lad outlet that MA loves. Dec at DM, and we've got two great left wingers as well as a Jesus whose body seems to keep being crucified after every resurrection in form.}
Hope we sign this Norgie teen, btw.
It's a good point. The only way we could have signed someone who could replace Saka is if they are equally adept in other positions. Nwaneri is the perfect fit. He is still young and has a lot to learn, but you can see how quickly he is adapting already. He is probably ahead of where Saka was at his age, particularly as his right foot is stronger than Saka's was. It's decision making, judgement, and understanding his role in the structure now. He has a big future. So does young Lewis Skelly.
We can't expect the academy to keep churning out top quality players but one or two every now and then is more than enough. The rest can go to United.....
