Thread: Kai has simply had a poor game, I'm afraid.

Another day it flies in and is termed a 'bullet header'...

    Wasn't his best game but the stick he gets is absurd. Like giroud, we seem to constantly focus on what he can't do rather than on the many things he does really well.

    14 goals in 31 games, in a side that is misfiring most weeks. Not too shabby.
    Fine margins, innit.

    No-one has a problem with Kai. Not really. If anything it's the backup, the bench; the cavalry, the kitchen sink that's exercising everyone. For awhile now we've played like a side whose superstar striker is a long-term absentee, for whatever reason (one or more of the usual; booze, birds, betting, biryani) and we've held the fort gallantly awaiting his return. Explains why we haven't bought "another" one and also why we sometimes seem to stutter.

    All told, we're doing fantastically well.
    "Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

    "But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

    Maybe the absentee is suspended

    I see an Everton player was booked for doing an impression of a seagull after scoring at Brighton .

    That's the genius of it; the absentee doesn't actually exist. Saving us a fortune

    lol. Which player? Somebody that used to play for Palace, I suppose.

    I don't know his name. The little number 10. Quite good.

    Does this mean an opponent will be booked if they mimic the firing of a cannot at the Emirates?

    Just seen it. Oh dear. Obvious racism. Or corruption.

    Funny though. Fairplay.

    Exactly. Gabby M and Leo are both fine as LW. While it was too early for him to cover Odin at the start of the season, young Ethan now provides better cover for both him and B than anyone we'd have been able to buy. {I mean, no really top drawer player would come to play 2nd fiddle to B knowing that no matter how well they play, B will start if fit.}

    And if everyone was fit and we were chasing a winner with 20-30 mins left, I'd have been happy to try Leo at CF with Kai at inside-left {where he played in his first half season.} He was doing fine in the all round play then, winning tackles, but now he can score and assist as well as being the back to goal target man outlet {with Leo dropping deeper to cover or looking for flick ons.}

    But just when Gabby J remembers where the back of the net is and scored 6 in 7, he gets a massive, long term injury which really boogers things up.

    If everyone was fit and firing, having Leo, Jeez and Ethan to bring on gives us options. MnM just looks like he needs to stay fit, have a run in the team, get to know his teammates and have a little bit of luck and I reckon he could be scoring and assisting, interchanging with Dec when they play as DM and IL.

    I would like us to sign this 18 year old Norgie. Would be nice to have two creative Norgies.

    But with all these injuries, we've been having 4 LBs and Sterling on the bench. I had high hopes for Raheem - I loved the way he got the Chavs to pay half his wages then took a pay cut on our half just cos he wanted to come to the club. Yet he's played like the callow 17 year old and Ethan's played like the experienced, title-winning international.

    Maybe Nathan Butler-Oyedeji will become as good as Ethan and MLS. But having no-one on the bench other than Raheem and all the LBs gives us no way of changing things. Though was nice to see Ricky C play so well after MLS was sent off.

    Agree with all that. And Arseblog said the third header he missed got a tiny deflection of JT and without that he's have probably scored.

    Re: our goalscorer. As he's a Ricky C, maybe we should call him Monty?

    And Partey might now become Wigwam instead of TP5.
