    Really disappointing result, again

But to be fair, we played a bit better. Bit more creative than usual, and trossard had a great game.

We were undone by two balls into the box where midfielders lost their man.

Back to the provisional 9 point gap. I think we can stop talking about the title race now.....

The seasons already a bit of a write off. We may go a bit further in the CL but top 4 is all that remains as an achievable goal. Some may think that?s negative, given pre season expectations but injuries and a lack of squad stability in key areas have taken their toll.
I do think questions need to be asked. Calafiori has been a waste of money, he couldn?t even deputise at CH today, due to yet another muscle pull. Alongside Tomi, injury prone, and what?s the point of having support players who spend more time on the treatment table than the first choice players ?
Arteta clearly no longer trusts, Tierney, Zinchenko and Kiwior so please get rid.
Partey and Jorginho are gone in the summer, it looks like zubimendi will come in. Perhaps we needed Merino to make that happen. I?ve started to think that way because he?s also been an under whelming signing.
The spotlight could well be back on Arteta in the summer. Yanks are notoriously ambitious and fairly ruthless from my experience. They won?t hold the line if theres a feeling that progress has stalled.

We are miserable to watch. Don't think I'm gonna bother watching anymore games this season absolutely zero point unless we magically get far in the CL.

No consolation, we could've won 5-nil with that performance.

When we drop points it's always because we don't WIN the game when we're on top.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Only if we don't qualify for the Champions League, I think. I'd hate to believe otherwise; Mikel has done too much right.

I don't think discussions in the summer will.focus on arteta as such. I think it will be more about how we move ahead from here.

We can't really afford to build a squad by paying top prices for every player. If we want to move on from here we are going to have to be a bit more imaginative. And that involves patience.

We're where we should be. When you are close to a title the difference between winning a title and coming second can be a bit of luck and a good season. We're not currently having one.

We did 'win' it. Or at least, we had it won. 2-0 up with half an hour to go and in total control.

Pretty much agree with that, so long as "more imaginative" doesn't mean the same as "paying top prices for every player"?

No, we didn't. And no, we weren't. What was it the man said, when looking at your scorecard, always add two wickets.

2-0 up with half an hour to go is essentially the same as 1-0, or even 0-0.

I think what it means is this.... when you are paying 50 or 60 million for a player whose current club signed him 18 months ago for about 10, you start by asking why you didn't spot him 18 months ago.
