    Man United Rejects

The Manc derby was a p155 p00r football match enlivened only by City self-destructing at the end. Cool finish from Amad Diallo for the winner after his smart thinking to 'earn' the equalising pen. Rashford wasn't even in the squad yesterday.

Do we want Marcus Rashford? Disruptive influence? Loan with option to buy at end of season?

    Edu we want Dan Ashworth?

    No, to both.

With bells on! I wouldn't take Rashford even on a free. Good player but he wouldn't last 5 minutes under Arteta's 'values'.

I can?t see anyone prepared to pick up the 300k a week tab for Rashford. They?re stuck with him.
On his day, he?s a threat but I?d always prefer us to break ground with new players on the way up.
Rashford, like Sterling, has little to prove, the hunger?s gone and unlikely to come back.
You could argue Havertz was ticking similar boxes but did he achieve greatness as Chelsea ? He?s a good example of a player arriving with unfulfilled potential, although, there?s a part of me that feels he?s possibly reached a plateau and unlikely to push beyond those limits.
There?s a strong case for a frontline refresh in the summer. Saka and Havertz the only assured keepers.

I am sure we will be looking at the forward line come the summer. Equally sure Rashford wont be a part of it.

We have done ok with Chelsea rejects, even Jorginho has done well for us. But generally it is best avoided.

Cost is also going to be a factor in all these decisions.

    Talking of Yanited and rejects.

I see young Chido Obi-Martin is tearing it up.

    In the U18s...

Now, why did he say he left The Arsenal..?
“Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.”

Fair play to United by serving his agent up a sh1t sandwich, I guess.

Also noticed young Cozier-Duberry scored in a win for Blackburn at the weekend, on loan from Brighton.
To borrow your quote? Now, why did he say he left The Arsenal ?

It's always difficult to say; who knows what the manager may want to do.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

The game has changed. When I was a nipper, a "duberry" was a wassname or a thingamajig.
Certainly not a winger or an attacking midfielder.
