That?s a pretty hefty lead Liverpool have now built.

Catchable, providing we go on an all conquering run. Think we?ll also need some sort of injury crisis at their end to even things up a bit.
Sometime?s you need a bit of luck and they?ve had it in spadefuls so far. A draw at a patched up Arsenal. An away win at a hopeless, pre Amorim, United. A run of away wins at relegation level clubs and a nice home win against Madrid, without Rodrigo, Vinicius, Tchouameni and Camavinga. Lastly, a home win against an out of sorts City.
The Gods seem to be smiling upon them. If they?re still there after Xmas, it looks like a very steep hill to climb.

Well, we still have to play them, so conceivably 6 point gap if we win that. 3 of 4 games coming up are away, including Newcastle & scum plus Merseyside derby. No injuries so far.

We're only just a 3rd of the way through the season. Tough but think it's far from a done deal yet.

I think we just need to forget about them. We need to keep winning and cant afford any more slip ups. I'd say if Liverpool are still 9 points clear of us by the end of December, we should start to worry.

They will have a dodgy period, it is inevitable. But we have given ourselves an awful lot to do.

If you can build up a 9 point lead in 13 games you can certainly lose it in the remaining 25. They only have five fit defenders going into this busy period (mind you so do we, it seems)

You can't help but feel that, one way or another, we are going to have to go to Anfield and win three games from the end of the season.

I'd take that. Wouldn't be the first time

Our title wins have tended to be characterised by big, significant away wins late in the season. Spurs in 71, United in 98 and 02, Liverpool in 89.

The exceptions are 91 and 2004 where instead we just wiped the ****ing floor with everyone all season

Another fairly regular feature has been a huge fight and docked points. I wouldn't object to that

Bit disappointing Mertinez in banned for Wednesday. He could start a fight in a empty room

Filthy bugger. So glad we didn't sign him. He'd be a walking red card for us.

    He's an insufferable arsehole...
“Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.”
