"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Dec wins the ball and it's a FK.

One of them comes through two-footed from behind and wins the ball and it's fine.

Thought exactly that, the 2nd free kick they got close to the edge of the box wasn't a foul either.

The most annoying bit was the position of the ref. He was standing right there, could not have had a better view. Maybe he saw something we didn't. But I don't think so.

No surprise that on Ref Watch, the ex-players thought it was a great tackle, the ref thought it was a foul.

It's the inconsistency, especially in the same match, I can't stand.

If he wants to give the Dec foul, ok. But if so, when their player comes through the back of ours two-footed and wins the ball {as Dec did one-footed from the side} how is that not a foul? I thought it would be a yellow - even Neville said that that was fine in his day but is a yellow now.

The refs will tell you there are criteria for looking at this, and no two situations are the same. Which is the standard response of anyone who is making it up as they go along.

At least he got the penalties right

The punch on Gabi's head was a definite pelanty... and I've seen them not given on a lot of ocassions.

Didn't Onana get away with similar?
“Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.”
