Anyone I'm missing?
Anyone know who our No.7s were in the '30s and if they were born and bred Gooners?
Wow. Just googled him. Didn't realise that he also played for Middlesex. Middle-order bat and right-arm medium fast bowler. Or that he managed the scum and it was the team he built that won them the title a couple of years after he left.
{And thinking of Middlesex-AFC connections, just googled Steve Gatting and we have the same birthday.}
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.
"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."
Sheet, forgot DC played RW and would therefore have worn the No.7.
Any chance Saka could bat in the middle order? {Though while DC averaged 50 overall and 60 in Eng, just 33 in Aus. So probably not much better than the current side. Joe Root only averages 35 there - so far.....}
