Not sure he would be a better fit for us than Kai right now and the demands for him to start every game would be overwhelming. Same for the barcode chap; the reason I'd fancy Ferguson, if we really are determined to get a new forward.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Based on last night, Isak is a far better fit for our side, but then I suppose you don't always sign someone who will fit in- sometimes you sign someone who will change the way you play.

I haven't changed my opinion- we are not yet good enough to be able to cope with having a proper centre forward in the side. Maybe in a few years.
Gyokeres is a bit of large lump who throws it about and runs hard. On the face of it, it doesn't look like he'd fit Arsenal at all.

That said, I did think that Haaland wouldn't particurlaly work with Man City's tika taka *******s, but he seems to have scored a few...

I just think he's not really any different to Kai. Isak and Gyokeres both have pace

Good points. Talking of large lumps who throw it about and run hard, what about that big African lad from Italy we were linked with? His price ought to be more realistic now he's been sent to Istanbul(?) on loan.

Has to be one of the weirdest transfers in modern times - touted to be sold for 100 million goes to Gala on loan. Something wrong there.

Right. I can only think it's because their owner is an absolute shark and he drives an extremely hard bargain. Hollywood mogul, produced Manhunter (Michael Mann, 1986) and many more.

Isak would be a transformative signing for us imo. Searing pace, fleet-of-foot, great finisher, right age profile, PL proven, knows Odegaard and Merino well etc etc.

    But he won't come cheap.

Is it wrong for me to say that I'm happy with Kai at CF and just want to see what this team can do after a long run with out first choice starting XI?

TP's return to form and MnM's injury have meant we haven't yet played what I think was MA's idea with Dec at DM and MM at inside left.

That would have allowed us to move Kai into MM's place and bring on another CF when chasing the game.

But firstly, that means a new CF signing would have to be better than Leo or Jeez but also content just to be a plan B.

And also, if Ethan could play inside left as well as inside right, then we'd now have the option of bringing him on for MM and keeping Kai at CF when needing a late goal.

A lot could depend on whether we can get TP to sign an extension. If that happens, that gives us more time to find the perfect young MF.

Is a top CF gonna come just to be plan B, assuming Kai keeps showing us how well he makes us play when he's CF?

We'd almost be better with a young player who can play across the front line, pref right footed so they could cover for Kai and B.
