Im still not buying into this Scouse dream just yet.

They’re a top side but they’ve been gifted the most generous run of fixtures.
Aside from nicking a point at a patched up Arsenal, they‘ve yet to play away at any team in the top 10.
For context, following this weekend’s game away at Chelsea, we‘ll have played away at 6 of the top 10 grounds.
Even their next two games are away to Southampton and home to Villa.
They’re making hay and getting an added boost by a weakened City and Arsenal.
On the plus side, they’re gaining a fortress mentality from every win.
They‘re still likely to hit the skids at some point, as fixtures will balance out, although probably not until December.

When did you become the voice of reason, 7? Can't argue with any of that - and tbf, a lot of Liverpool supporters I known are saying the same

What happened with your drink with the Geordie Kiwi? What did he think about beating my boys 3-0 at home? If they can do that, we could be in trouble when we play them. I guess they must have had better spinners than us, but have they still got enough decent quicks to cause us serious problems?

Hopefully it was just the Goddesses and Gods punishing India for supporting Hindutva fascism and allowing Modi to name the world's largest cricket stadium after himself. Like They made Ind lose the WC final so Modi didn't get the photo opp of handing the trophy to India at his own stadium with the election coming up 6 months later. Only dictators name stadia after themselves.

They are fair points, but.... bear in mind this is a side with a recent history of sustaining a challenge, and they put in the first two thirds of one last season. I still think City will win the league but if they do suffer a big drop in form, Liverpool will be there. I am not convinced we will be.

Very happy with the cricket - but as we talked about it, would be a risk if NZ produced turners at home. Likely to be greener pitches which should suit us as well. Should be a good contest. Was thinking of going out there as I am planning to go to Oz for Christmas. Wouldn't actually mind catching some of the Australia India series - at the moment though think it could be quite one-sided

A recent history of sustaining a challenge? You might want to look at the last two seasons.- the team you constantly disparage have been much better than Liverpool over the past two years

Yes, over the last two years we have been the better side. I also remember this time two years ago everybody saying the same things about us- haven't played anyone good, false position, won't sustain it. In the end we did rather better than anyone expected and if City had slipped a bit we might have won the league.

This Liverpool squad is better prepared to sustain it than we were two years ago.

And at the start of the season I would have said we were far better positioned than them this season. But we are 10 games in and look at how we are performing......
