    I hope so. I thought Robinson would have done as he bowls tight and gets a bit of bounce. But he seems to have dropped down the pecking order.

    A lot of cricket to be played before Australia....thankfully, none of it in the sub-continent.

    There you go. Told you all of Creation is Holistic. You should have switched on earlier.

    Maybe we should get the Barmy Army to pay for you and Puddles to go to the Ashes. But just promise to keep him safe from dingoes.

    Get P and PP on the plane and we'll beat those dastardly Convicts.

    I think we're starting in Perth this time {which means a sodding 2am kick-off instead of midnight.} But it's not at the Waca, some new stadium. {A stadium, not a cricket ground at a guess.} Anyone know how it plays compared to the Waca? Does it still have that bounce and carry with the 'Freemantle Doctor' blowing across the pitch?

    I don't think the Aussies are particularly enamoured with it - definitely doesn't have the bounce of the WACA though. That is a lovely ground. Perth in general is one of my favourite cities in the world

    I think Atkinson will do well (I don't mind a Surrey player when he plays well for England). Different to Robinson who seems to have a lot of baggage (though the thing about Atkinson's mum was horrible)

    That might be helpful. Remember in 2011-12, we got hammered at the Waca in the 3rd test. {You went out for that series, didn't you?}

    It would be great if they've fücked up a stadium that gave them a great advantage over us just to have more seats {says a Gooner who now has 60k seats and no marble halls that Ganpati had blessed us with.}

    Which test is the poxy pink ball one? Was it last time that we based our entire selection about having JA for that one cos it might swing more if we won the toss but didn't? Just pick your bext XI ffs.

    Errr... I don't think the aussies need a stadium to have an advantage over us. Our last three tours have been shocking. Not just beaten out of sight but never even genuinely competitive in any of the games. Apart from a brief spell under the lights with the pink ball.

    To have even half a chance we need a bowling attack that can take 20 wickets over there.

    Not like you to be remorselessly negative p.

    I was out there for the Brisbane Test - we also had a terrible record at the Gabba but that draw then felt like a victory. I was in Thailand for the Adelaide test but back home for the Perth debacle
