He's a wop. You might as well ask an Argie CH not to be a cynical, cheating thug.

But I won't comment on whether he's a better passer than Merino until I've watched him for half a season. You may well be right, but I've never watched dago footie so can't pass judgement.

Would be a bit unfair to slag him off when he's been injured and hasn't even started yet.
I wasn't including Merino. As you say, I haven't seen enough of him.

Lovely on the ball, but his lack of pace is a worry.

I noticed a few of the more rabid comments on Twitter yesterday saying, he’ll get faster.
Had a little chuckle at that.

Mr Havertz's goal reminded me of van Persie

Yeah, you can be a slow defender. But the trick is, you must never be caught out for pace.

Jesus is getting worse. His finishing sucks, always has done. Get the feeling he is too desperate to make an impression and it is affecting his decision making.

I hope to god Arteta doesn't get the idea that Partey at right back works. It really doesn't. Defensively he isn't going to be able to cope if someone runs at him and he doesn't have the legs to go past Saka. At times we needed that in the first half.

Their corner that hit the bar. Now THAT is what a foul on the keeper looks like.
The only thing affecting Jesus' decision making is Dave's International Hair Salon in Peckham. As I feared it might
