I've looked occasionally just to see what mine is worth, reckon you'd make an additional 10% or so by using Auto Trader or similar.

Seen a bit of a bargain locally that seems in demand.
The world has gone mad. I am chasing car salesmen to get information they all seem very casual about it. usually they are all over my like sharks.

I’ve heard Motorway are amongst the best if you’re looking to get a better price from these, Webuyanycar type merchants.
I ended up flogging our Evoque on AutoTrader and secured a much better price though.

I've sold a couple of cars on Motorway now, I would hugely recommend them.

One I sold during the crazy times when second hand cars were worth more than gold so that helped but I got much more than what it was worth. The second one was still just over the price they guided it would be worth. Both times it was much more than webuyanycar etc.

You probably could still get better money selling privately on Autotrader but then you have all the hassle and time wasters and traders lowballing you etc. And then I think for a car that is worth a fair bit as yours is, people are more reluctant to buy that from a private seller. Private sales work best when it is £5k or so I think.

With Motorway, once it has gone through auction, if you are not happy with the winning offer, you can still reject it so you are not going to lose anything by trying it there. When the cars have been collected, one was collected by a third party driver so although he checked it etc, he had no real interest in trying to knock anything off. For the second one it was collected by the trader who had bought it himself, he noticed a couple of bits that I had missed like a cracked lens on a fog light etc. It was fair enough and we agreed to knock £50 off.

It takes a bit of time and effort to do all the photos and get it up and listed but from there it is very painless.

Quite right, apologies. I meant to add AHPAMIMO at the end.
