    jobwimb.

haven't done one of these for a while.

been at my current place for a very long time, was taken over ages ago but nothing happened until recently. all the senior ones I liked left, was left hanging for ages wasn't fun,

Finally they said right you are moving to sister company doing similar (without any paperwork or actual choice) it's a bit of a circus and the new people I work with whilst are nice it's a mess like I have never seen before and non stop. backwards move imo that they have tried to fool me into it being a promotion without of couse any more money.

quite close to moving elsewhere for more money and less circus and home based.
If this does happen is it worth seeing what my current company will do? or just f off if it works out.

and yes I am Eddie Nketiah.
I have changed a few details to remain anonymous.

Working from home means being on the bench.

Why would you stay, even for more money?

As if £6.25m pa for sitting on the bench is a hardship.

because I have been there a very long time and have a false hope it will get better. and apart from the circus element I am curious to see if it does get better as the work is quite easy. (If I am allowed to get on with it) plus I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to change.

Any chance of a redundancy package in the future? That could be worth staying for if you've got long service. Assuming you have continuity of service following the takeover.

They got rid of a lot of people stateside but I don't think I'd be for the chop as always seem to escape it.

I did wonder though, I was told a few months ago I would be moved to the new company and my old role didn't exist anymore. Now I have officially been moved over they are doing it next month. But I have already started the new role (similar role but not exact)

They haven't really followed any procedure. I would have a strong case. It was all around one phone call, never had anything in writing, been doing the new job for 3-4 months now. All I have had since is an email saying I moving to their payroll and would get a P45 and they'd just transfer me over to the new company, but no job description or anything. didn't have any say in the matter. a couple of others in the same boat are very unhappy.

I did wonder what would happen if I refused to sign anything new next month.

it's a funny one. We were bought out 7 years ago, but sort of run seperately over the years.

I don't even know if they have thought it through the manager on the other side just said I am taking these individuals. my old company still exists as a entity and there are people remaining there.
    it's very messy.

Did they roll your old contract to the sister company ? I’m no HR expert but implications to your years in service, pension etc
