While watching the Euros I kept forgetting that Xhaka doesn't play for us anymore.

I think the Euros has had a very bad effect on me, I keep thinking we are crap now and need to get a lot of new players in.
    We are actually quite good

We are actually very good. Unfortunately, City are just a bit better.

I hope we can strengthen the squad to try to go futher and win other comps.

I sort of think of the Liverpool team a few years ago. winning the league always hard with City around but they had other successes too. wouldn't mind that at all.

It was the first half of the season that let us down last year, largely due to the volume of change in midfield and in goal. We should start more settled this year. We just can't afford to let City get in front. Liverpool won that title by building a big lead and keeping it. Once City are in front they just don't drop points.

Oh, they’ll be dropping a few points this season, P. The Premier League will be hell bent on it.

I just can't see Chelsea and United being as bad as they were. That said, I can't see Villa being as good.

I reckon if we get the same points as last season then we'll win it.

I agree. Not sure about Newcastle, I’ve a feeling Howe may be on the slide there and the Arabs might hand him his arse on a plate should things not improve.
Slot has his work cut out, as I think Klopp jumped at the right time and, like Ten Hag, it’ll take a year or so to adjust to the PL from the Dutch farmers league.
Fat Ange is still a bit of an unknown and it’ll be interesting how the Spuds shape up.
Pep has to have a dip at some point. Lot of ageing players in that squad and the threat of the PL punishment hangs over them like a bad smell. They’ll have pissed away any possibility of a negotiated settlement with that stroke they tried to pull behind closed doors. The PL won’t have liked that and I expect them to reassert their authority with some, hopefully crippling fines & deductions.

Howe - he'll get binned a couple of months after turning down the England job.

Slot - he'll try to be different to Klopp and subsequently get found out early on.

Fat Ange - gung ho football is quite exciting, isn't it? you might be able to get away with it in the Jockish league, not down here though.

Pep - has nothing left to prove and things can only go downhill. His last season there imo.
