to feel shafted by the officials, just like the other clubs they themselves shaft every week.

    Which is nice

Can you imagine a CL final between two German teams who got there largely by being well organised and defending really well? God it would have been dull

And it might be me but it seemed to me that the Madrid defenders stopped playing a split second before Munich scored, so while the offside was wrong and the ref shouldn't have blown, I'm not convinced they scored a legitimate goal.

Still very funny watching them lose it at the end. Gorgeous

We got the ferry from Dover the following morning en route to Spain. Was a bit crowded with Deutschers.

You always felt RM were going to beat Bayern before a ball was kicked.
Just as we knew Bayern were going to turn us over in the quarters.
Some things are just meant to be.
It’s not as if RM are a side of galactico’s either. Almost as if reputation somehow guides them through.

    Spot on.

At least it's Father's Day there today, so they can properly drown their sorrows.

Yes, indeed. That's another hill we ourselves have to climb; getting the benefit of the doubt from officialdom in those pivotal, tight moments.

No worries there. For all their domestic dominance, they do lose alot of big European Cup games, even finals (six wins, five losses).
