Is C about? CARWimb. Please help if you understand cars.

We got this little, v-reg Toyota hatchback for free almost a year ago. Been fine other than a puncture so replaced all 4 tyres.

    Passed it's MOT last week.

Yet on Sat, the glw drove to see someone who then didn't answer. Sat there with lights on for a bit and went to leave. Car wouldn't start. Flat battery.

Spent ages trying, got a kid to help her pus it onto the side, and came home.

2 hrs later - so when it's colder outside and the engine would have cooled down even more - got a taxi with jump leads up there. But the car started on the key straight away.

Can anyone explain why in simple English and what I need to know so this doesn't happen again?

Now I'm a good 5 years into marriage, I find that you have to be play a bit of a game when it comes to apportioning blame on the glw. Try asking questions like "which way did you turn the key?" or "are you sure you were sat inside OUR v-reg Toyota?".

Once you have pieced the puzzle together and have water tight evidence, then and only then, use the words "user error".

It could be any number of things tbh, but the first question is when the battery appeared flat, was the engine turning over or did you just get a click on the key? Or maybe there was no reaction to turning the key at all? Dash lights?

"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Says it was a whirling sound, like it was trying to turn over but not enough juice. She's driven our truck all over Europe, and knows what a flat battery is - and a truck takes a dozen to bump start.

But this has just confused. Btw, thanks for trying to trouble shoot this for us. Much appreciated. Happy Xmas to you and your little ponies.
