which has now been confirmed by Tesco. I am very clever you see.
In tesco on Saturday it was only the De Cecco and Barilla pasta that had run out. The inferior cheap stuff was still plentiful which made me realize this was the work of the panicking middle class tossers like Charlie and Berni. Having cleared Waitrose out they then descended on Tesco like a plague of posh braying locusts
'Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing
But different than the day before'
'Met a dwarf that was no good, dressed like Little Red Riding Hood'
'Now you're unemployed, all non-void
Walkin' round like you're Pretty Boy Floyd'
Same thing happened here about 4 weeks back. the pasta aisle cleared except for the store brand. Amusingly I am aware that the producer of the store brand is a well regarded local pasta manufacturer that sells to food service vendors that supply many restaurants, including some rather iconic Italian joints around town. Hahaha. Barilla is ****e.
