    The Lucas girl is far more impressive imo.

    Because she was elected for a two year term and has presided over 50pc growth in membership

    No, I dont really rate her either but there are plenty of yoghurt knitting quinoa fiends that clearly do.

    Ok. By that yardstick though Farage should be made Emperor of UKIP. The Green growth is I think

    largely despite Bennett not because of her.

    But she didnt say she'd stand down if she didnt win a seat

    Which, um, is why she's not stood down after not winning the seat.

    Then she shpuld resign for not having promised to resign of she didnt win the seat

    Especially as she didnt win it

    That is your opinion and not the point.

    The point being that she has no need to resign. Farage did so of his own volition and similarly had no need.

    Agree about Farage but it is ridiculous to have a leader outside parliament who has failed miserably

    in her bid to get into the Commons (13%?) when you have a popular and personable MP inside it.

    Almost all of their work is putside of parliament. They are not a normal party
