    PedantryWIMB. I pointed out to someone the other day who had said things were 'falling between the

    cracks' that if they were falling between the cracks they were landing on solid ground, which was surely a good thing. Did they mean 'falling into the cracks'?

    Beat that for passive aggressive pedantry. It livened up a very dull meeting, I can tell you.

    Falling between two stools is presumably the one they got mixed up with.

    Sounds like they hadn't got all their ducks in a row.

    i liked it when the accounts lady warned me a customer was hanging out the back...

    i asked her if i'd interrupted something beautiful between her and said customer ..she realised she meant to say he was hanging back on paying..his invoices...saucy old bint wants it imo
