I thought of Sod when I posted it.
They always came in a rather distinctive brown envelope.
Unrelated I had a card through the box saying I had missed a parcel but not really expecting anything. I went to go and get it and it's my bloody Meerkat for my car insurance.

Junk mail is the stuff that a young lad, often of foreign origin, is paid to dump en masse into every letter box in a road or estate. You know the sort of things, pizza menus etc.
