To get some perspective from fellow fans, Are the recent results just the outcome of our

defensive frailities or some very ****e display from our midfield. In my view, for whatever it is worth, our midfield has been pathetic, something that has been buried in the deluge of criticism levied on our defenders.

P.s. The above hasnt been influenced by Micheal Owen...

Wilshere and Ramsey have both been very ****.

The balance between attack and defence has been wrong for a mumber of seasons ...

He's gone through a number of defenders and midfielders in that time, some very good ones indeed, but the overall shape and tactical discipline has always been our undoing in key games. The only common denominator to this is Arsene himself and he looks nowhere near close to solving these.

He has more money at his disposal and recently bought Ozil and Sanchez, both world class, but the team still plays the same way and the weak links are the same.

Some pundit said we play badly when we dont have the ball.. He couldnt have been

    more right..

The midfield doesn't look very adaptable, they only know one way

of functioning, or should I say, they are only drilled to function in one particular way, which is at times needlessly elaborate going forward and quite often nonexistent as a defensive unit.

i think that's bollox. most good teams actualy let us have the majority of the ball and then nick it

and counter quickly. So if we play well when we have the ball, we should be taking more advantage. If anything, it seems our possession exposes us more than anything and that's because we over-commit to retain the ball and are all over the place once we lose it. You look at Chelsea's play and they don't look that much out of shape when they lose as their team collectively know what to do once the ball is lost. This is a key failure of ours for a number of seasons now.
