I haven't seen enough of Carvalho to judge how good he is though, the fee seems very big for someone who has only had one season in the first team.
Can't see us offering more than £24m, perhaps if it is a matter of how the money is structured we may go back.
Just because I've watched him a lot and he's definitely not got the 'something extra' that the others have. He's a younger version of Arteta, really.
If we're going to bring someone in we might as well bring someone special and otherwise make do with Arteta, Diaby and Flamini.
