i saw him for half a game last season , he looked lightweight , he was not even first choice at southampton , Clyne started in front , don't see how he is better them Jenks , also how will he get a game in front of Debuchy (who did not impress me in WC) , odd business

Wenger obviously rates him and as with AOC, who wasn't essential at the time either, we must think he is good value.
We want another right back from somewhere, apparently he is very versatile, used to be a CM and the England U19 coach has plans to convert him to a CB.
He is also homegrown , which is a big thing with the squad places, providing we have the money and this isn't our DM budget, then I'm fine with it.
