    I do like a scampi. Doesn't taste of anything, of course, but that's part of its charm.

    Funny to think that in the 1970s frozen scampi was generally made from monkfish tail

    because no one wanted it.

    I settled for fegato alla Veneziana and a half bottle of Krug. One likes to keep things simple of a Friday.

    I didn't think you liked fegato all Venezia? I seem to remember you saying it was too sweet.

    May have dreamt that, of course.

    Yes, it's certainly odd when you consider the price of monkfish these days. I've been thinking about deep frying some battered eel, recently.
