    Car is parked and engine off but windscreen wipers intermittently moving

    Electrical fault, I assume...

    Garage can't fit me in till tomorrow. How urgent is it???

    Take the wiper fuse out or it'll run yer battery down

    google the fault for your car make etc..probably simple for real man to fix

    so you are buggered and will be raped by a garage instead

    Usually there's a fuse box under your steering wheel

    All fuse numbers should be labelled on the fusebox lid

    Open the bonnet, find the fusebox, look for one next to a wiper image*

    *alternatively, try them one at a time until the wipers stop.
