More interesting stuff from the heartland of Britain

Just made an offer on house in France, booked Xmas and New Year in Val D'Isere and now wondering which team will have a forum as good as this one when I move there and choose my French team to support.

I think AW has an influence on me or it could be my Catholicism and thus Pope Jorge.

Are you actually moving over there?

Blimey, I've never quite *felt* france myself

I could move to somewhere like Chamonix happily

Like Chamonix. Only Val D'Isere as daughter is working there this winter

otherwise very expensive and over rated, bit like Chamonix!!!!

Val D is just a joke though, at least in Chamonix there are bars

where it's possible to get a beer for a reasonable (relative to ski resorts) price. Last time I went to Val it was ¤10 a pint and ¤9 in happy hour everywhere....and that was 5 years ago!

At least if your daughter is working there she'll get a workers discount

Someone was telling me that they went to Ibiza and queued for 30 mins to pay 10 Euros for a bottle

of warm water That's mental. Bottles of beer started at 15 Euros

That'd put me off going tbh

Of course not. Us Spanish are brought up to hate the French.

This France stuff is overrated. But now I am a plastic Italian.
