Is it better to fly to Edinburgh or get the train?

flights seem cheaper but the mess of going to airports and waiting around sort of make it the same time in the end. Or I can get the train from Central london and relax.

But £200+ for a train fare. This country makes me sick.

Train. If booked in advance. And you can get an upgrade deal.

I've got some really complicated flights to book this afternoon.

I don't really feel strong enough.

Edinburgh airport is about as simple as it gets and flying takes a fraction of the time

That said, assuming you're with the girlfriend, take the sleeper train and make it a bet special

hmmm not a bad idea. I will look into this sleeper. I flew to Glasgow once.

I had a flight back but I was so eager to leave I f**ked it off and got the train back

How about flying to Edinburgh for your girlfriend's aunt's 60th b-day party

(for which you're being forced to wear a kilt), picking up a hire car and driving one hour to stirling, not being able to drink at said party, driving back to a ****ty airport hotel in edinburgh to catch an early morning flight back to London the next day, hoping and praying you make your 1.5 hour connection to Italy for a 1 week holiday.

Oh yes, there is a certain romance about arriving at Waverley.

The dairy soon gets knocked off it when you see the jocks.
