AW says not easy to buy, however

the reality is that it is the same as it ever was because top players always want to go to top clubs BUT the thing that has changed is that Arsenal are no longer viewed as a top club

Wenger is still revered as a top manager in world football and Arsenal are based in London. That

would normally be enough, the main problem is Arsenal won't pay the going rate for a player (same with wages) While they piss about others step in and just do the deal.

Thing is the money before success policy has gone on a few years too long. The

clubs owners did have the money but just sat back in a comfort zone. All it needed was a couple of big names and maybe one or two players might have thought a little bit harder about leaving. Might have made the club a little bit more competative as well.

Kind of defeats the whole object of why we moved to a new stadium...

I always thought it was so that we could compete with the elite clubs of Europe....now I see it that we only like to compete in the money generation side of things and not the actual trophy winning side of things....
