    If we had gone with a begging bowl to Madrid, we could have closed the Higs deal long back..

    Madrid are known to cull unwanted players at throwaway prices..
    VDV, Sneidjer, Negredo etc. For some good reason, We were bent on Jovetic initially..

    Well, no. A bid they believed would trigger a clause. The first bid of £35m was supposedly the

    they knew would be rejected. Now the second improved offer is talked of in the same way.

    Exactly. I'm intrigued as to what's in this contract. It seems weird that both Suarez and his

    Agent would both believe it to be a release clause only for Liverpool to completely ignore it.
