Clap Bow The Red Arrows are BACK! </h2
What a performance today at the RAF Cosford Airshow.

The Red Arrows back to their full compliment of 9 Hawk jets put on a scintillating performance.

I hope as many Awimbers will be able to see them at an airshow in the UK this summer.

Fingers crossed for dry weather for the Fairford Airshow on weekend of 20th and 21st July.

I've seen the Blues Angels three times and the Thunderbirds twice

The Blues Angels fly FA-18 Hornets, the T-Birds fly F-16 Falcons.

the Hornets are more maneuverible, but there is nothing like the backdraft from an F-16 for raw power.

Have you seen the Harrier at an air show? Seems like what they were made for, imo. Not a great tactical plane.

Oh, for the days when we could waste money on good stuff!

Have you seen the pics of the Russian Knights display team? >>>

Never. Is that them mocking the Challenger?

  5. #5

It does look like the Challenger but no they aren't.

    I hope.

Oh dear, makes the red arrows look a bit ****ty tbh

Personally I always hated air shows, f**ked up my time at the peter pan fair and the arcades daaaaahn southend.

If it were you would have to hive off a small percentage in admiration for them though

That's a lot of trouble to go to.

Mind you, so was Rocky IV

  8. #8

Ooh talking of Rocky, have you seen this?

Saw the Thunderbirds in 1997 at Mildenhall airshow. Fantastic...

Pity they won't be coming over to the UK.

The cut-backs means the US won't be sending any "cool" stuff over this summer.

Miss the F-22. Was hoping it was going to display at Fairford.

And Lockheed-Martin have fcuked up with the F-35.
