Wilshere came on cos Arteta was injured, you may have missed this.

Ox was brought on because he is young and is gaining invaluable experience from playing time in games where his naivety and decision making isn't going to be costly. So no pressure is a great opportunity for a player of his age and experience to come on.

it was Vermaelen who came on for Arteta in the last minute. Quite why this cretin is asking such a question I don't know

But with JW it will be to keep him with some resemblance of match fitness incase somebody in the midfield was to get injured and we needed him before the season ended. Otherwise he would have been up on that operating table by now.
